NEEDHAM — Needham officials put Level 1 non-essential outdoor water use restrictions into effect on August 10, limiting most outdoor watering to Sundays only as the town works to manage demand on its water supply through the rest of the summer.
TOWN HALL
The Level 1 restrictions, announced through the town's News Flash system, confine non-essential outdoor watering to Sundays before 9 a.m. or after 5 p.m. Handheld watering, such as with a hose nozzle or watering can, remains permitted seven days a week. The restrictions apply townwide and take effect immediately for residents and businesses using sprinklers, irrigation systems, or other non-essential outdoor water uses.
