The Needham Youth Hockey Association announced that registration is now open for its Mite Development, Learn to Play and Learn to Skate programs, with sign-ups available directly on the organization's website.

For coed travel hockey, NYH is directing families to register skaters through the Valley Hockey League's online system rather than the club's own site. The organization outlined the naming convention for travel levels: Needham Mite 1 corresponds to Needham AAA, Mite 2 to Needham AA, and Mite 3 to Needham A, with the same three-tier format applying across Squirt, Peewee, Bantam and Midget age groups.

NYH, which serves players from Needham and Dover, describes its mission as offering an affordable path into hockey with age- and skill-appropriate coaching that feeds competitive "1," "2" and "3" level travel teams in each age group.
