Health board finalizes shared medical director deal
Other Committee · Meeting of September 22, 2026
NEEDHAM — A four-town public health board finalized a shared medical director deal and disclosed a $6,611 budget shortfall. Officials confirmed a completed DocuSign agreement with Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians, with board member Carrie calling the process "intense" but "finally done." The board also awarded itself a $2,500 MHOA tobacco-prevention grant and reported its regional health agent, Jay, became a Certified Pool Operator. Carrie said the shortfall stems from fringe benefits on 15 hours of Dover-compensated staff time, with accounting now charging "the full amount": "So we have a $6,600 shortfall." Board member Daryl said he had raised the issue in Sherborn.
The board voted unanimously by roll call to adjourn after a motion from Kathy Thompson, seconded by Tim McDonald, with a budget fix proposal due for a vote next month.
