Needham Finance Committee Backs $4.8 Million Capital Plan, Rejects Rain Garden Pilot

NEEDHAM -- March 25, 2026, Needham Finance Committee approves $4.8 million capital package and rejects a rain garden pilot while debating a $60,000 fix for neglected youth sports fields. The committee voted unanimously Wednesday to recommend Annual Town Meeting Article 25, a $4,790,605 general fund cash capital article covering fleet replacement, building management system upgrades, and transfer station improvements, with appropriations drawn from $17 million in certified free cash.
