Needham Revitalization Fund Seeks Sponsors to Close $8,000 Gap
Other Committee · Meeting of February 26, 2026
Needham revitalization fund faces first funding shortfall in its 25-year history. The Needham Community Revitalization Trust Fund needs to close an $8,000 gap in its annual banner and flag program after longtime sponsors failed to renew, members said at their Feb. 26 meeting. A committee member acknowledged, "This is the first time in 25 years that we've had to be in this position." The group is also $3,200 short on new banners for Needham Heights, is chasing four $350 sponsors for a mural profile of Ridge Hill Farms founder William Baker, and is working to recover a bench donation of unspecified size that was misdirected to the Needham school department due to an incorrect tax ID.
Four members attended and approved the January minutes, 3-0 with one abstention.
